He joined the army horse brigade aged 12/14 and returned to Ipswich aged 15/16 and was reunited with his mother which did not work out. He returned to Canada aged 17 and joined the Mounties.then the Army. He married a Grace in Hong Kong and divorced, they had a son Daniel Dawson (1939-2022)14 22 7
